Putting on the panto is a year-round process, although the amount of activity varies considerably throughout the year.
The annual cycle provides a rough guide to the jobs that need to be done and when they normally happen. Dates are approximate and may change depending on the production, but the aim is to make sure that important jobs are not forgotten.
The pages below cover the main stages of the year, from the initial planning and organisation through to rehearsals, performances and clearing everything away afterwards.
If you are taking responsibility for a particular area, use this as a starting point to see what needs to happen and when. More detailed information about how to carry out individual tasks can be found in the relevant sections of the handbook.
